Johannes Laubach came to Philadelphia, PA Sept 15, 1748 on the ship Two Brothers. The East Vincent German Reformed Church records show that he was a communicant of this church in 1753. At the dedication of the new church building on May 27, 1758 at the first communion given there, Johannes Laubach presented to the congregation a full communion service made from Mexican dollars. He took up land in Chester County, PA 153 acres beginning in the middle of the road dividing the townships of Vincent and Pikeland. He did not get title to his land until Feb 1791. He did not fight in the Rev War. He was considered a patriot, such as being a juror, and taking the oath of allegiance to the State of PA. He was 48 years of age when the war began. He furnished a substitute by the name of Peter Jacobs.
